Include your full name and which day and location you will pick up your basket. Please reply as soon as possible so we can quickly get accurate orders to our farmers. Also, please pay particular attention to the basket distribution times for each day. Thank you.

AUGUST 2009 BASKET
It's BAM time again and we are excited to introduce you to a few new farmers this month.  With the opening of the Farmers Market in Searcy, we have found some new friendly farmers and they are excited about growing products for you.  We will have products that we have not had before and that will be exclusively for BAM subscribers in the months to come.

This month's basket will feature Arkansas Delta Raised Catfish from our friends in Dumas. August is National Catfish Month and we found it appropriate to feature. We will have Mars Grapes and red potatoes from Cedar Rock Acres, pears from a couple who inherited a bounty of fruit on a farm near Bald Knob, raw milk cheese, spring mix, milk, butter, and the rest will have to remain a surprise. Argenta Market Executive Chef Shane Henderson and his wife Kim are expecting their daughter, Chloe, to be born this week.  Therefore, we will not have pasta in the basket but will have a baguette.  If you would like to have fresh pasta, please order from our online market at cafm.locallygrown.net before the closing on Wednesday.  Congratulations Shane and Kim!

NEW MEMBERS AND INTERESTED READERS
Welcome to BAM!  We hope you have read our rules and procedures.  After you receive your first basket and glass milk container, you are asked to bring them back when you pick up your next basket and you will get an extra item.

If you are not a subscriber, this is your invitation to join our BAM family.  You may reserve a basket simply by replying to this email; then visit the eShop to sign up or email us your information for payment.

MILK BOTTLE & BASKET RETURN / REUSABLE ITEMS
Please return your clean, reusable basket, glass milk jug and any egg cartons or green quart containers. We reuse only these items, so please don’t bring us anything else. Thank you for helping us reuse; these items have been a great benefit to this program.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Again, we are asking for volunteers to help distribute the basket.  We would greatly appreciate any time you are able to dedicate to assembling and distributing this August basket, and we will have some extra goodies for you.  Please respond in your email reply if you can help, or call Barbara at (501) 288-2109.  Thank you!
