Hello Arkavores:
Even with all this rain, several farmers plan to show up at our Argenta Farmers Market this Saturday with some great produce. Remember, the new winter hours for the outdoor market and the online market pickup are 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
I know there will be Arkansas Black apples, beautiful sunflowers, sweet peppers, head lettuces, and some of the last summer tomatoes. Pretty sure to see honey, frozen berries, herbs, soaps, jellies, jams, roasted peppers, green beans, eggs, ...pretty sure attendance will start to taper off in the next few weeks if the sun continues to hide behind the clouds. If we can get some sunshine, we could prolong the harvest a few more weeks for summer and fall vegetables.
We highly recommend you visit our online market in the next few weeks to see the amazing selection of products that are soon to be uploaded by our existing and new farmers. We are working hard to get coordinated with Seven Doves Creamery in Mena to offer their delicious milk exclusively on cafm.locallygrown.net. With the weather so unpredictable during Arkansas' winters, the online market makes us all look pretty smart. Farmers don't have to speculate if the customers will show up to buy their products, and consumers can get some assurance that what they need will be available at a certain time and place on Saturday each week. This is a great deal, and once we get our market shifted over to the online market, you will see how convenient this technology has made it to buy local. We look forward to seeing you all winter at the Online Market Pickup Tent in the Argenta Farmers Market parking lot at 6th and Main Street in North Little Rock.
Thanks for your continued support of CAFM! See you at the market.
